Sur Castres, l’Observatoire de l’Air en Midi Pyrénées ORAMIP enregistre dimanche une concentration en particules en suspension (PM10) supérieure à 50 microgrammes par mètre cube (µg/m3) en moyenne sur 24 heures. Les concentrations moyennes mesurées s’élèvent, ce jour à 14h, à 52.0 µg/m3. L’ORAMIP ne prévoit pas d’amélioration de la situation pour la journée du 25 février.
Les personnes sensibles (enfants de moins de 8 ans, personnes âgées, asthmatiques et allergiques, insuffisants cardiaques et respiratoires, femmes enceintes) doivent respecter scrupuleusement leur traitement médical en cours ou l’adapter sur avis de leur médecin. Plus généralement, il est conseillé de consulter son médecin si une gêne respiratoire
inhabituelle apparaît. Il est recommandé aux personnes sensibles : d’éviter toutes activités physiques et sportives intenses augmentant de façon importante le volume d’air et de polluants inhalés cet après midi et ce soir, et de veiller à ne pas aggraver les effets de la pollution par d’autres facteurs irritants des voies respiratoires, tels que l’usage de solvants ou de peinture sans protection appropriée, et surtout par la fumée de tabac.
Ces recommandations n’interdisent cependant pas les sorties en plein air. Il convient également de ne pas modifier les pratiques habituelles d’aération et de ventilation.
